Density and thickness are just right. It perfectly balances the hair above and the decision to go for the full mouth cover is truly brave. It’s shaggy and thick but so clean… I wonder how you eat?!

 same loft, different day 

So… Daaaay Four (in obligatory Big Brother voice) … looking pretty gosh-darn hairy now.

Still not managed to get to the shop to buy some blades so I might have to steal one of the flatmate’s disposables tonight.

It seems that some of you, Steve!, are under the impression that I’m trapped in my loft.

I thought it would be amusing, and less annoyingly inconsistant if I took the photos all in one place… hey, I might even do an animation.

I’ve told Steve that I’m doing this crazy tache-growing thing and I’m starting to realise that although I’ve set up this blog I’m not really actively telling anyone I know yet… least of all those closest to me.

So… I expect there will be an outing after the weekend and then an increase in gentle pressure and mild cajoling to get my sponsorship total up and doing.

Hmm… it IS Friday tommorrow… maybe that’s a good day to unleash the first tentative chin charade?

This monstrous moustache is truly a free-styling flabergaster of fantastic facial fecundity - although I can only dream of reproducing such phenomenal face growth.

Rainy moody morning today

Yes, I know, the haircut was a terrible mistake (it’ll grow back!). Actually, perhaps it’s helping to highlight those lovely first springs of hairiness.

As you can see it’s an all over stublefest at the moment… perhaps I should get some new razor blades?

This is the best I'm going to look for the entire month of September!

Ok… so this is Day One.

This is my usual, unkempt, stubbly self.

Not totally clean-shaven, I admit, but… pretty close.

Ok… some of you might remember the appalling mustache I was sporting at this year’s Beachdown festival?

No?

Well… here you go…

There was some method to this madness, I can assure you, we were raising money for an orphanage in Ghana and running a 1940s Tea Tent - think jam, Jerusalem, Vera Lynn and hunky men in uniforms (and me).

Anyway… I enjoyed the tache so much I’ve decided to join my fellow folically festooned friends over at Tacheback.

Tacheback is a fun way to raise some money for prostate and testicular cancer and I really hope you’ll support me in this little bit of nonsense.

This blog is to document the process… a way to watch my top lip from the first sprouts of a stubbly streak, right up to the bushy behometh it is destined to become.
